SECURE-TSPlayer Admin V1.0 - Use

HOW TO USE “SECURE-TSPlayer Admin V1.0”

To access “SECURE-TSPlayer Admin V1.0”, please access the webpage named index.php which can be located within the admin folder (Fig. 1). On this page, enter the password that will allow access to administration. This password was selected and entered in the field “PASSWORD” in the setup file, configuration.ini.php.

If the password is invalid, an error message will be shown. In case the password is valid, a new window will be shown, which allows to select between creating a new player and modifying any of the players that already are installed on the server. (Fig. 2).

After selecting one of the options, a new window will be shown. It contains three steps required to generate or modify a SECURE-TSPlayer.

In the first step (Fig. 3), select the MP3 files for playback.

Fig. 3

To each audio file you can associate various kinds of data:

Title to be shown in the player during playback

Location,  which is the relative address of the MP3 audio file. This is the only mandatory field.

Information associated to the audio file is a URL that can be used as additional information, as well as a purchase page or download page of the audio file.

Associated image  is an image that will be shown in the player while it is playing an MP3 file to which it is associated. Normally this field is used to show the cover of the CD where the audio file is included.

To add or delete elements in the playlist, simply use bottons “+” and “-“.

To modify fields of one of the playlist elements, click on the field that you wish to modify and edit it.

NOTE:

In order to move on to the next step, it is necessary to have at least one element in the playlist. Elements of the playlist that are totally empty will be deleted when the playlist is generated. To move on to second step, you may not have any playlist elements where the location field is empty. In case that happens,  an error message will be shown.

In the second step, (Fig. 4), setup information will be entered in the player.

Playback setup data contain:

Skin to be used with the player. The skin is selected among those that can be found in the skin folder entered in the setup file  of “SECURE-TSPLayer Admin V1.0”. If there is no skin in that folder, an error message will be shown.

Secure password is the password used for the playback of the audio files in the secure mode. The Secure Password field is required.

Volume, is a whole number value between 0 and 100. This field determines the default starting volume for audio playback. The Volume Field is required.

Show playlist defines if the playlist is shown (or not) when the audio player starts.

Autoplay determines if the player should start playback automatically upon full page download, or should wait until the website user starts it manually.

Active repeat button determines if the player should be repeating the playback of all the files in the playlist in the loop.

Active shuffling button, defines if the audio files to by played are selected randomly from the playlist or played in sequence.

NOTE:

To move on to the next step, a validation of fields will be run. Password and volume MUST be entered.

In the third step we complete the creation of the audio player (Fig. 5). In this process, a folder structure is created, XML files that contain the playlist and the settings of the audio player, as well as the PHP script file in charge of the secure playback.

Fig. 5

To create each player, the PHP script file must be taken from http://www.tsplayer.com/tsplayer_admin/getDownloadScript.php. This way the file is actualized, and free from any anomalies that users may report to developers. Therefore, to create a player,  connectivity is required in order to access this page.

Once audio player is created, its code will appear in the text area. This code must be pasted on the webpage of your website. Under the text area, the audio player is shown in already functional way with the playlist and settings applied.
